Welcome to my blog!

Hi everybody, nice to meet you! My name is Maria Concepción and I am an English teacher and learner in Palma de Mallorca. I work mainly giving private lessons, one to one or in groups, and doing translations. For some time now, I have been sending material to my students via email, and I have finally decided to open this blog so that sharing material with them is quicker, easier, more accessible, interactive and attractive.

I am currently studying at UNED a course on ICT, Information and Communication Technologies, for teachers, and I have a Degree in English Philology (English language, literature, cultural background, linguistics, etc.) by UNED as well. I hope I learn enough throughout this course to satisfy the educational needs of all my students, not only in person but through U-learning technologies and via 2.0 teaching tools.

Though my mastery of English is still far from complete, I am not afraid to admit it, nor to face directly the challenge that means the hard work and effort required to increase and improve your proficiency level day after day, and to keep your knowledge and contacts updated. Therefore, if you find some mistake anywhere in these pages, I beg you indicate them to me immediately, in order that I can correct them and learn from my mistakes and acquire more competence and experience. I hope that everybody who visits these pages may find their contents useful, and that they would be willing to share a little bit of their own thoughts, opinions or knowledge here as well, in the form of feedback, thus building up, with time, an extensive and productive net of information where everybody's needs can be met.
